Winter on the Prairies

When you live in a land that definitely has 4 seasons, you have to deal with winter. Now I know there are a lot of people who LOVE winter for the sporting opportunities it provides, but I am not so much one of those. I enjoy going for a walk on a soft winter day when there is no wind, when there is a mystery about the landscape, and when the trees are heavy with snow or frost. Add to that the quiet of being in the country and you have the perfect conditions for a feeling of calm and peace. Check out my photo of just such a day last year!If you are interested in purchasing this piece or commissioning something similar, please contact me .

I clicked on the the image and just enjoyed the close-ups of the snow coating all the branches of the tree.

Reminds me of weather that is coming soon - but in a good way. :)

This is the road I travel on each day I go to work. I was pleased with the depth this picture showed...it is a long way to the top of that hill from the trees. And yes - we are headed into winter once again. Sigh!

This photograph is absolutely brilliant. The perspective and being at the right place at the right time is key.

Thanks for adding my name to your links and comments about my work. I will add your link to my blog also.
