We are celebrating!

These are the most gorgeous celebration yellow roses you will ever see! My husband brought them home for me after I had my appointment with the neurosurgeon who did my surgery in September. I can now officially say, "I HAD a brain tumor." (not" I have a brain tumor.") Yes -according to the MRI,  it is gone, even though it was not completely removed in the surgery.

This is really BIG for me as I now feel that there is a future ahead for me. It will be a very different future as I have only 3 days left at my current job, and then I am done. I will be moving into the dreams and desires of my heart, with lots of painting and photography planned, as well as a couple of other things. To not have the pressure of a regular position will be quite de-stressing - and good. The hard part will be the financial aspect, as you all can imagine. I think the term "in these tough economic times" is ingrained into each of our heads by now...  But I am going forward in faith, and I will take it one day at a time. Till Thursday, I am tying up loose ends and having coffee with people I want to say a special "goodbye" to.  Then I begin my new course of life. We are celebrating! New start in more than one way!

My thoughts and prayers go to you for your continuing recovery. We each have a new journey every day we get up, and I hope yours will be long and enjoyable. I want to thank you again for sharing the "World Dancing" video...I plan on starting each day with a prayer and that video.

Thanks, Michelle! I was pretty shocked and could only keep repeating "It's gone???" Don't know why I was so shocked, with all the prayers of so many people - but it is really just beginning to sink in. Whew! What a ride!

Hi Alvin,
Thank you for your well-wishes. I think I will have to plan a regular time to be in the studio, as I know there will be many distractions which could draw me away from my primary goal... to improve and enjoy my art and my life each and every day! I'll be checking YOUR work often as inspiration!!! :-)

Thank you James for your thoughts and prayers! I want to not take life for granted, but to live each day in the light of how it is a gift from God! Today, I know that the cold and the snow is also a gift but not one that I really asked for or wanted (hehe) - I sort of was hoping for sun and warmth like you experience most days. :-) Talk to you again!

Hi Don!
Yes - we were pretty excited to hear this news; in fact, I am still excited! Thanks for the well wishes - I am really enjoying days of painting this first week of "full time art"! Kind of scary given the state of the economy, but feels right. :-) Thanks for dropping in on my blog and commenting.
