Mexican Keyhole

Mexican Keyhole
9" x 12" acrylic painting

This one is finally completed! I am very satisfied with the 3-dimensional look of the door knocker, keyplate, and nailheads. The wood turned out beautifully with all the colors throughout the painting.

I have placed this painting on a dark blue wall, a yellow wall, and a taupe wall and it looks great on each background color. Different parts of the painting are accented depending on which wall it is hanging on!

As always, if you are interested in purchasing this painting, please contact me jogiesbrecht@gmail.com

Nice Joanne! I have such a hard time capturing woodgrains and you've captured it beautifully. Well done!

Thanks, Jean! Where I have no problem with wood grain, you say you do... where you have no problem with glass and metal, I do! We should be painting a series together featuring glass and metal against old wooden buildings! :-)
