HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

A couple of years ago, we visited Salt Spring Island off the west coast of Canada. It was January, and we had a few wet days. On one of those days we drove into an historic park where there was a flock of turkeys running around. I had never seen a turkey in person before - and had no idea that the female was so beautiful! She is very delicate compared to the flamboyant male - and quite shy...

It is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada, and we have a houseful of family- my children, grandchildren, nephew and his children- for Thanksgiving dinner, as well as my son-in-law's sister and her family of 6 for a brief stay as they travel through Calgary.  I am blessed to have family where everyone likes to help out and create a fabulous meal, so I don't have to do all the work. It is truly a family affair!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends. May you find there is much in your life that you are grateful for, and that you have reason to live a life of thanksgiving, not just one weekend.
