I have a friend who told me she had never seen coconuts like I have in this painting - and it's true! In Canada, the type of coconut that is typical is the brown, shaggy haired kind. These coconuts were at a fruit stand on the beach in Ixtapa, Mexico. They DO look very different from the typical ones we see here.
This painting is the second in a small series of three. Number 3 is underway, and hopefully finished in the next couple of days. :-) Have a great weekend, everyone!
