However, the end of company meant that I spent today in the studio - and that is always a great remedy for feeling blue! However, I am not the only one in this family who has a workspace and is an artist!
My husband is in his studio this rainy afternoon, and I thought you should see some of his wooden vases! He is such a master craftsman - I love his work! He uses different types of wood, and with his secret process, creates a centre of interest with various animals, sea life, and plants from our area of Vancouver Island. His work is very reasonably priced. He sells out of our home, but he also has his work in one local shop - and perhaps a few more shops next month.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these, or commissioning ones similar to these, please email me: info@joannegiesbrecht.com. Enjoy!

Wow! These are amazing Syd!
Love to hear the news of your goings on and how much you are loving where you are and what you are doing.
Miss you here!
Hi Cyndie! Thanks for your comment. I will pass it on to Syd. We miss you guys, too, but I must admit that we don't miss the cold and snow. :-) Next time we are in Calgary, perhaps we can get together for a cup of coffee. We'll let you know lots of time before hand so we can make arrangements. Hope all is well with you, Frank and the girls/grandkids.
