When you live in a land that definitely has 4 seasons, you have to deal with winter. Now I know there are a lot of people who LOVE winter for the sporting opportunities it provides, but I am not so much one of those. I enjoy going for a walk on a soft winter day when there is no wind, when there is a mystery about the landscape, and when the trees are heavy with snow or frost. Add to that the quiet of being in the country and you have the perfect conditions for a feeling of calm and peace.
