Here is the completed version of the orange poppies that grow each year in my garden. I do really like how this painting turned out. I love the glow of translucent petals, and the reflection of the flower petals on the center part of the poppy. So, unless this sells before my studio show, it is ready to be shown in November!

Orange Poppy Interior -an acrylic work in progress

This summer I took a photo of the interior of one of my orange poppies which I put up on this blog. My friend, Julie, asked me if I had plans to paint that flower - and of course I did. Here is that poppy - a work in progress in acrylic. It is on 9" x 12" canvas.

This one will be finished and available for purchase at my Art Studio Show in November.
