The Knotty Problem

Here is a drawing exercise to challenge you! I took one drawing course at Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary. Alberta, and this was one of the classes. We were given a very small knot of yellow nylon rope and told to draw it very large, then carefully look at it (you had to get really, really close to look at it!) and shade in what you saw. No one finished the exercise in the time we had, but I actually liked my unfinished drawing, so I have never finished it. Now that I have pulled it out again, I think I will frame it just as it is...

Cool...it reminds me of when you sketched my braided hair once...which also was very knotty.
