NEWS

I have just received and accepted an offer from Chartpak Inc. to teach some painting workshops! I am so excited to have been chosen for this position as it allows me to teach (which I love to do) but also to continue my own painting career!

I will be teaching in 2 local arts and crafts stores in Calgary, doing acrylic paint workshops for beginners - people who want to try painting, but don't even know how to hold a brush. The class size will be limited and will run approximately 2 hours in length. I'll be teaching between 2 and 4 times a month... so nothing too strenuous as far as prep goes, and a little bit of cash to support my own painting habit. LOL

As I work with the companies involved, and get details confirmed, I'll let you know about when and where these classes start. Maybe I'll see some of you there - in my class. That would be very exciting!

That's so wonderful Joanne. You're really making impacts in so many ways.
Something about being able to teach others that lets us keep learning too.

Oh Bonnie! Thank you for saying that! I DO want my art to impact people positively - and to show the beauty I see in this world and in others! And yes - teaching others teaches me too. :-) You are a very wise woman.

Thanks Jean - it IS incredible! Especially as THEY found me and contacted me - I didn't go looking for a teaching position! I am really looking forward to this experience. :-)
