Frog - a watercolor work in progress
Okay - I admit it! I poured the background on this painting, and after working with it in the reds, yellows and blues for a while, I really DISLIKED the overall effect. Soooo...I went in with my trusty concoction of dark blues and dark greens that I use for many of my watercolors, and worked over all the pouring technique I had created, which you can see here.
Now I am happier, and I think I might have salvaged this painting - enough so that I am continuing on with developing the frog. So far he has a chin, some of his shading and spots, and most of one eye. Soon he'll look even more frog-like, and who knows? A princess might just spot him and want to rescue him from his perch!
