This painting is finally done! Yay! I am always happy when I have completed another painting - it almost is like giving birth in that I am relieved when it is over, but have a sense of loss that it is now no longer "a part of me"... However, I soon am excited about the next project, so I move on pretty quickly! 

Speaking of boats, my husband has built 5 little boats - one for each of our grandchildren. Today three of them got to paint the boats - so exciting! Tomorrow, with the new sails attached, they will be launched in our little pond to see it they can stand up to the waves and wind! Such a special project with their grandfather. :-)
