OH WHAT A FEELING!

This past week we had friends from Calgary visit us for a few days. What fun we had, sharing stories, walking on the beach, touring around the area a bit, and sharing special meals! This couple holds a very special place in our hearts, and it was wonderful to spend time with them.

This couple is the same one that commissioned me to do portraits of all 5 of their grandchildren! At first, the portraits were to go to the parents of the children as a gift, but when they were finished, the clients decided they could not part with them! They have hung them on a wall which goes down a staircase so that the work can be viewed from either upstairs or downstairs...and  apparently, each child, when visiting, goes straight to  examine their own portrait...how rewarding is that for an artist!!!

As well, my friends bought two of my paintings when they visited...Sunny Duo and Baobab Tree! What a fantastic feeling - to send paintings to a home where they are cherished and enjoyed each day! All in all, it was such a joy to have our friends visit! The "warm fuzzy feelings" will last me quite a while...
