Because you asked...

Because several of you asked if I had taken pictures of my show, I decided to put up the ones I took of my setup. Once people started coming, even though I had my camera out, there was just no time where I could snap pictures. Next time I'll have a designated camera person!
:-)

Most of the 6" x 6" paintings, the cards, and framed display of the limited edition prints were in the kitchen area, with a couple of paintings on the wall.

Although it doesn't look all that large, the living room area held 20 paintings on the walls, easels and on top of the buffet and coffee table. (And yes - my walls are a gorgeous blue!)

A couple of hours before the show, my husband was finishing up the framing of the last limited edition prints in the studio.

This display centre had 6 surfaces with paintings on them, hung with "s" hooks. It was fantastic for displaying a lot of paintings in a limited amount of space. People could walk all the way around this display.

People wanted to see where in the studio I paint, so my work space was cleaned up and tidy for a change! Won't stay that way for long I am sure.

So now that I am on the other side of my first solo show, I know that I will definitely do this again - the same weekend next year. For those of you who plan a long time ahead, you can mark it on your calendars!!!

This afternoon I will be starting on one of the 2 commissions I received in order to complete them before Christmas. And on the 3rd of December, I have a Christmas fair that I am a part of. Between now and then, I want to get my house decorated for Christmas. So... I will be a busy but contented artist. I love this life!

I love peering in to artists studios by invitation. What a beautiful and inspiring place to create AND display.
I'm coveting that mid room trellis screen idea. What a great way to add space and gather people around.

A very inviting setting, love the glow of the light through the arched window.

Oh, and please don't clean up too much as it would reflect poorly on the rest of us who succumb to artists' detritus.

Hey Paz... we worked hard on the set up, so were happy when people seemed to flow from room to room quite naturally. And yes, it IS a wonderful life!

Thanks, Bonnie - I am blessed to live where I do. We designed and build this home 15 years ago, and I appreciate it as much today (if not more) as when we first moved in! And don't worry - my studio is looking quite "used" again today!

Hi Janice - yes, I agree, I do have a beautiful home - and it is open to you any time you come here to AB. We would LOVE to have you and Tim as our guests!
