Today I get to meet with a collector to work out a commissioned painting she wants me to do for her. I think it is a surprise Christmas gift for her husband, who loves to fish - and in particular, to fly fish.
We are going to go through the photos she has of him fly fishing in a couple of rivers he frequents, and she will give me the details of what she has envisioned. I am then going to do a sketch for her so that I can make sure the painting is just right, then it's into the actual painting process. I think painting this commission will be a lot of fun!
