Last week I showed you 2 of the 6 commissioned wedding gifts for a very special couple. Here are 2 more.
The colors I was given to work with were very specific... paint chips from the paint store were supplied for some, while this purple was the color used in the wedding invitations and on the wedding website. There is a dual texture going on in this painting, as I have incorporated not only textured medium, but also silver string in the medium to lead your eye through the action of the purple.
In this painting, I have used 2 greens (which compliment one another) in the texture, and cream to accent the edges of the ridges.
Both of these paintings were abstract rather than portraying any images.
