Sketch of a Girl

While my family was watching an hour long music performance on t.v., I was able to do a quick sketch in my Moleskine sketching book. This sketch is nowhere near what I would do as a rendered drawing, but for working in dim lighting, with an HB mechanical pencil and an eraser, I am relatively pleased with the overall shape and shading.

I might choose to go back and do her again with charcoal and chalk pencils...we'll see. In the meantime, I have put in more practice with drawing in my "down time" - and that is always a good thing! Now it's back to painting...
